Usher buries former step son Kile today

Concluding an array of depressing times for the family, Usher, Tameka Raymond and Ryan Glover will be laying Kile Glover to rest this Friday. Kile died on Saturday 22nd July. For family, friends and fans of the R & B songster, it has indeed been a heart wrecking and emotional time and the circumstances surrounding his demise also adding to the grief.

Kile Glover, 11, who was injured after he got hit by the watercraft as he stood on an inflatable raft on Lake Lanier in Georgia was declared brain dead by the accident. Two weeks after being declared brain dead, Kile suffered a heart attack.

The family had to make the inevitably tough decision of removing him from life support after his heart attack. Prior to the attack, it was predicted that a full recovery was unlikely after the accident. He died on Saturday.

His mum has been on her Twitter page for the first time since her son’s passing and she has been thanking fans for their support and well-wishes as she dealt with the tragedy.

Tameka is setting up a water safety fund in honour of her late son.

Further she said she was determined to educate people about the importance of safety in the water, and she has asked for donations in lieu of funeral flowers to establish a fund she hopes will raise awareness of the issue.

“I appreciate the hundreds, perhaps thousands of prayers. I’m so grateful to you guys. Kile was the most fun, creative, sweet, respectful boy” she wrote.

“Many have asked where to send flowers, but in lieu of flowers we ask that you make a contribution to the Kile Glover Fund @ Bank of America. Our goal to increase water safety - thru (through) implementing laws, policies & education”

“Kile’s passing will not be in vain, we will see to this. Bank of America Acct # 3340 3823 9828 or via PayPal email [email protected]… I love you guys.”

The Homecoming service is slated for 11am in Atlanta for the late Kile Glover and fans have sent in condolences to the family thru social networking site; twitter.
