Redbox Instant Woos Customers In A Novel way-VZ, CSTR, & NFLX

Northern, WI 1/11/2013 (Avauncer) –If one likes to watch movies, then Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) brings you world class movies right at your doorsteps. Redbox instant video service from Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) will offer movies at a rate of $8 to$9 a month. Coinstar, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSTR) and Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) have agreed on partnership to offer movies at a reasonable rate to customers. It has already signed 10,000 users. According to sources, the service is expecting to cover 35 million subscribers overall. Redbox instant will open kiosks which will offer four DVD’s a month. Consumers can also get unlimited streaming at quite affordable rates.

Imagine watching movies from Warner Bros, Paramount pictures, and Lion gate right from your living room? With Redbox instant video service, this is possible. You can order new movies online and even purchase them. According to CEO Shawn Redbox focused on movies and it is surely going to be a tough completion with competitors who are not offering movies on video services. Redbox already has 4200 movies on its list. Another 2500 movies are available on video on demand. Redbox is also considering adding TV programs to its subscribers on a later stage. It will try to add new programs which are not available anywhere.

Redbox is different from its competitors Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) in many ways. While other streaming services believe in large upfront payment, Redbox compensates studios. This compensation is done depending on the number of the subscribers it gets. Net flicks charges about $7.99 a month for DVD and permits unlimited streaming. Presently red box has about 42,000kisoks. So customers can use this facility to rent world class movie titles at cheap rates. They can also buy new titles and watch movies at leisure. The stocks of Coinstar, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSTR) which is operating from Washington fell by a small number, while its partner Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) saw a very minor fall.
