Cadence Design Systems Inc.’s (NASDAQ:CDNS) Latest Developments
Denver, CO, 07/29/2013 (Avauncer.com) –Cadence Design Systems Inc., (NASDAQ:CDNS) (Closed: $14.48, Down: 2.69%) has declared that Ricoh Corporation has opted for the Cadence Palladium XP verification computing platform for the multi-tasking printer’s system-on-chip (SOC) development. Among all the other available propositions, the Palladium XP is the fastest design and has given more than 40X verification speed over RTI logic simulation. According to one of the directors of Ricoh Corporation, Cadence has, better technology and a superb technical support team of all the other solutions that were available. As the operation in Palladium XP is faster and easier than other solutions, it made Ricoh Corporation easier to select the application for its multi tasking printer. Cadence has already started its working with Ricoh Corporation for designing its next generation SOC.
Cadence also declared that the United Microelectronics Corporation has accepted the Cadence “in-design” and signoff design for manufacturing (DFM) flows to go for optimizing the variation of the electric for 28nm designs. Apart from UMC, Global Unichip Corporation also used Cadence Encounter Digital Implementation System for developing a system-on-chip (SOC) chip.
Cadence made a breakthrough to customize the design with Virtuoso Layout Suite for Electrically Aware Design (EAD). The design groups will be able to scrutinize electrical problems of any layout in real time of its development before it gets fully completed. This further helps the company to get the chip of best fit and desired performance.
Cadence reported that though their revenue increased during the second quarter, the profit decreased QoQ. Analysts are estimating an increase income in the next quarter. Cadence announced of the launch of 2 of its products one being Tempus Timing Signoff Solution, an improvement over the static timing analysis and closure. And the other one is Virtuoso for Electrically Aware Design which helps in the automation of analogous design for the customers. The management of Cadence said that apart from new products they are also performing well in acquisitions and expecting improved financial performance in the next quarter.
