Saffire joins Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC) the fourth-largest U.S. bank - HBC
Northern, WI 1/17/2013 (avauncer) - Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC), the fourth largest bank in the United States in terms of assets confirmed that Joe Saffire, a veteran from HSBC Holdings PLC (ADR) (NYSE:HBC) will be joining their team of experts. Saffire will lead all operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa while the banking giant continues to expand its international operations. Saffire worked with HSBC Holdings PLC (ADR) (NYSE:HBC) for 20 years before quitting as Chief Operating Officer and head of international banking. He will be stationed in London and will work under Sanjiv Sanghvi, head of Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC).
Joe Saffire’s experience will be pivotal in increasing their business with US based companies operating in Europe and also in European companies currently operating in the US. Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC) has revealed its plans to increase lending, expand its treasury management. The San Fransisco based bank is all set to expand to close to 20 countries outside the US in the years to come. In November, reports confirmed that the bank was entering the Canadian market after receiving a license to provide loans to and accept deposits from Corporate customers
