Meg Whitman gets compensation after missing the target
Northern, WI 1/13/2013 (avauncer) –Meg Whitman the CEO of the Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) or the HP Co. has received a lesser annual compensation. According to reports Whitman has received a compensation of $15.4 million in the year 2012. It is to be mentioned that the amount is only seventy percent of the targeted compensation. It was a year in which Autonomy debacle happened also Meg Whitman completed one year as CEO of Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ). Also Whitman had received a compensation of $1 last year
The value of the shares of the company has noticed a fall by thirty nine percent in the recent year. Apart from that the company has also witnessed fall in the sales for last consecutive quarters. This is a big blow for HP, which is one of the leading computer companies in the world. Apart from cutting down the salaries of the executives, the company has also expressed that it may scrap out a few units that have not performed as expected.
Other members who received compensation are Cathie Lesjak who is the Chief Financial Officer who received an annual compensation of $6.7 million in 2012 compared to $11 million in 2011. Apart from these two, there is also Todd Bradley, who is the head of the personal computer and printer division. He received compensation of $7.4 million compared to $10.7 million in 2011.
