Facebook(NASDAQ:FB) names Mike Schroepfer as CTO; Zuckerberg named highest rated CEO - AAPL, SAP, QCOM, GOOG, ORCL, AMZN, DELL

Northern, WI 03/18/2013 (avauncer) - Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) said it has named Mike Schroepfer as its new chief technology officer. Schroepfer replaces Bret Taylor, who quit the social networking firm to start his own venture.

The position has been vacant since Taylor left Facebook last year in June.

Schroepfer, who joined Facebook in 2008, has been leading the company’s engineering and mobile efforts.

Prior to joining Facebook, he worked as vice president of engineering at Mozilla Corp., where he led the product development for the Firefox web browser. He also served as chief technology officer of Sun Microsystems’ data center automation division.

In addition, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg replaces Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Tim Cook to becomes the highest rated CEO, according to a survey by a career site Glassdoor. After surveying over hundreds of thousands of employees across all industries, Glassdoor came up with a list of top 50 highest rated CEOs.

Zuckerberg got 99% approval rating from his employees for a 12 months period ended February 24, 2013. The rating has gone up by 14% from last year.

On the other hand, Tim Cook has slipped from No.1 to No.18, which shows the uncertainty among Apple employees for their CEO. The list also includes Bill McDermott and Jim Hagemann Snabe from SAP AG (ADR) (NYSE:SAP); Paul Jacobs from QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM), Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) CEO Larry Page, Oracle Corporation’s (NASDAQ:ORCL) Larry Ellison, Amazon.com, Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AMZN) Jeff Bezos, and interestingly Michael Dell from Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) managed to grab the 46th spot amongst others.

Shares of Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) were up by 0.21% and currently trading at $26.69.

Shares of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) rose 1.69% and currently trading at $451.15.

Shares of SAP AG (ADR) (NYSE:SAP) were down by 1.27% and currently trading at $83.51.

Shares of QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM) fell 0.58% and currently trading at $64.59

Shares of Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) fell 0.71% and currently trading at $808.20.

Shares of Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL) down by 0.41% and currently trading at $36.19.

Shares of Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) fell 1.54% and currently trading at $257.79.

Shares of Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) fell 1.43% and currently trading at $14.10.
