Ex girlfriend gets restraining order for Courtney Gains

Just how much can one’s role in a movie affect him or her in real life? Well, we all know movies are movies and nothing more but the fans will remember the Malachai; the psychotic teenage killer in the film “Children of the Corn.” Malachi real name Courtney Gains is having some problems in real life too. It appears the actor is causing problems for his ex girlfriend Kelley Marie Pospisil.

Kelly has just obtained a restraining order against her former lover Gains who according to her is threatening her life. Kelly and Gains dated for about 2 years but things went sour and the two separated. Now she fears for her life and trusts the restraining order which will keep the 46 year old Gains at least 100 yards from her at all times to keep her safe from the alleged life threats from Courtney.

Kelly admitted that Gains has been sending her threatening text messages since they broke up. According to her, he has been writing things like “Don’t think I won’t go find your ass. Just keep it up b**ch” in the texts he has been sending her. She fears Malachai is after her!

She also said her ex is trying to use social networking site facebook to track her down through her friends and is afraid “his escalating behavior is going to get worse.” Kelly also says Gains is no stranger to abuse in relationships. He had been abusive towards his past girlfriends. “I am scared that [Gains] may be following me or stalking me … [his] behaviour is terrifying and making me fearful of my life.”

Gains had great successes in the movies especially in the 80s with roles in Cant buy me love, Hardbodies, Lust in the Dust, The ‘Burbs, Back to the future, Colors and Wing Commander III among others. He also has a solo album to his credit.

So far there has not been any reaction to the media from Courtney’s camp but a hearing is set for August 21.
