Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) Unveils Flagship Lumia 930 And Two Budget Phones
Denver, CO, 04/07/2014, (Avauncer.com) – Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) has launched its Lumia 930, at the Microsoft BUILD conference in San Francisco. The Lumia 930, being a flagship device of the company, is powered by a quad core processor like that of the one Lumia 1520. The phone is also compatible and can run Windows 8.1 operating system.
Rich in features
The phone offers plenty of features to the budget conscious consumer. It is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. The phone has an internal memory of 32GB (7GB of cloud storage space on OneDrive).
It sports a 5-inch screen with OLED display technology and the pixel density of the phone is 441ppi. The screen also support full HD resolutions (1920×1080) Gorilla Glass will render the phone as scratch free. There is also Super Sensitive touch feature that ensures that the screen can be operated using gloves.
The camera on the phone is a 20 mega-pixel PureView, which has optical image stabilization (OIS) and ZEISS to get perfect captures. The front camera is a mere 1.2 mega-pixel but has HD recording features. The phone is integrated with Dolby Surround sound to better hearing purposes.
The battery on the phone is of 2420mAh and also has built in wireless charging features. A single charge of the phone will provide 11.5 hours of talk time on 2G and 15.5 hours on 3G networks. It also has a LTE quad band chip and also has Bluetooth 4.0. At present there are three available colors for the phone, which are bright green, bright orange, and black and white.
The phone will be available from June and is priced at $599 before tax. It is expected to hit markets of Europe, Asia, India, and Middle-East, followed by Latin America barring the U.S.
Other low end launches
Stephen Elop, CEO of Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK), unveiled two more phones Lumia 630 and 635 for the low end market. The company is on a good roll with the Lumia 520 being a success, and wants to move in on that segment. Lumia 630 is to be priced at around $159, with the dual SIM version of the phone being priced at $169. The 4G version will be priced at $189. Lumia 635 will be priced at $169.
