Wenger reveals how he offered Giroud chance to quit Arsenal

The sides went in 2-2 at the break but Arsenal conceded yet again to put their supporters through even more torture.

The event which got people talking was undoubtably the goal scored by Gunners' new recruit Alexandre Lacazette who managed to find the net during his top flight debut in under two minutes, which installed great promise for the upcoming season.

The 28-year-old watched from the stands as Olivier Giroud's late header earned the Gunners three points.

"But at some stage I opened the door for him because I knew that I had many strikers".

Giroud also spoke to reporters, saying he's hoping for a bigger role in the future after coming on as a substitute on Friday: "That's a nice start, but obviously I prefer to be on the pitch".

"I feel as well that the goals we conceded, we can work together to get rid of that".

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists match-winner Olivier Giroud will stay at the club this season.

And that poses a problem, because if there's a battery inside a thing, that thing can catch fire when you least expect it. According to the agency, fidget spinners can break and release small pieces that can cause choking hazards.

"I love the man and the player [Giroud] and he doesn't want to leave and I'm happy that he wants to stay".

"With the first corner, we were late".

"There is no chance he could before the window closes. He has a big weight in the squad and it was a relief for me that he chose to stay".

The lead lasted barely three minutes before Marc Albrighton's cross from the left was headed back into the middle by Leicester's new signing Harry Maguire and Shinji Okazaki nodded the ball past flailing Arsenal keeper Petr Cech.

With the first Premier League match in the books this term, how did pundits, supporters and players react on Twitter to Arsenal versus Leicester?
