London 2017: Usain Bolt ends incredible career by collapsing in final race

"In fact Usain said to me, "Yohan, I think this is crazy", he said. "Now he's really deserved time away and to not have to deal with the gruelling training". Inside it was cold. We were over warm. I think it got the better of us.

"The young runners in our team - it is just about executing and coming through the race for them", he said. A hero of the sport to go down like that?

"That's our true friend, Usain, that's our training partner".

"He was saying he was sorry, but there was nothing to be sorry for, he's done it for us [over his career]". "40 minutes and two medal presentations before our run".

"In the warm-up area we give ourselves respect and greet each other", Gatlin said of Bolt, who bows out of competition with a startling haul of eight Olympic gold medals and 14 world medals, nine of which are gold.

But another teammate, Yohan Blake, who won Olympic relay gold with Bolt in 2012 and 2016, slammed organizers for the delay in starting the race because of medal ceremonies.

Newcastle United 0-0 Tottenham
It was hard to move the ball quickly. "It was not easy to find the space and create chances". The referee had no other option than to issue a clear red card to the England global .

"We'll see what happens. I lost all my sweat and body heat", Gatlin said. "I think they really need to look into that and do something about it", Forte said.

"It was a recipe (for possible injury)".

"We took (our) clothes off a little too early". That's what he (Bolt) suffered with.

The United States, with individual gold and silver medalists Justin Gatlin and Christian Coleman running the second and fourth legs, had been expected to push the Jamaicans all the way. When he blazed his way to a 100m gold medal in the Beijing Olympics with a new world record that night, he started a decade of dominance that is unrivalled in the history of track and field. Nonetheless, Gatlin paid tribute to the Jamaican.

For Bolt, it was the worst possible way to bring the curtains down on a glittering career that has seen him grow into a global icon regarded as perhaps the greatest sprinter of all time.

The race also marked an inglorious exit to fastest man, Usain Bolt as he got injured in the last leg, collapsing on the lane, while GB powered on to victory in a time of 37.47 seconds.
