Miller made his directorial debut past year with Fox's "Deadpool".

James Cameron and Miller are now working on resurrecting "The Terminator" film franchise, and several writers are said to be in talks about where to take the motion picture next.

For years, fans have been waiting for a film adaptation of William Gibson's classic cyberpunk novel Neuromancer, and there have been multiple attempts to get it into the big screen, and now, there's another one planned, and Deadpool director Tim Miller is attached to direct it. Cyperpunk is in vogue at the moment, as evidenced by the release of Ghost in the Shell and Blade Runner 2049, both of which feature neon-soaked dark metropolitan cities that are brimming with uniquely shady criminals.

Miller and Kinberg seems like an ideal pairing to take on the film.

Dow plummets 205pts as Trump inflames Korea tension
South Korea's KOSPI fell 1.7 percent to its lowest since May 24, but its losses for the week are a relatively modest 3.2 percent. Earlier in the week, Trump said the USA would unleash "fire and fury" on North Korea if it continued to threaten the U.S.

The existence of the project was confirmed by Hollywood Reporter, which says that a writer hasn't been chosen, indicating the entire thing is still in its infancy. However, this is the most concrete yet; Miller will team up with 20th Century Fox, and X-Men aficionado Simon Kinberg is on board to produce. A mysterious benefactor offers to restore Case's health and connection to the network if he pulls off a hard job for him: hack an artificial intelligence that's orbiting the planet. It would also allow it to be more resonant for the dangers we face today, and build on the work of other properties that have been inspired by it, including The Matrix.

Coming from a background in visual effects, Tim Miller's strength has always been big, eye-catching spectacles that make the audience sit up and pay attention.

Are you excited about the potential of a Neuromancer movie?

This is the second project that Miller has set at Fox; Mark Bomback is writing Influx, an adaptation of the Daniel Suarez novel that is expected to launch a film trilogy.
