Kuwait's ruler, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber al-Sabah, travelled from the UAE to Qatar on Wednesday after visiting Saudi Arabia the day before to try to resolve the crisis. He reportedly "may not have known" Qatar is home to the United States' largest military base in the Middle East.

The United Arab Emirates said on Friday that Qatar must acknowledge concerns about its "troubling support for extremism" and "re-examine its regional policies". We're seeing shortages of food.

There was not an immediate comment from Qatar about the "terror list".

Qatar has backed Islamist movements but strongly denies supporting terrorism.

Erdogan signed off deals on the Turkish Parliament's approval late on Thursday night, Xinhua news agency reported.

Media reports say the deployment will initially include warplanes, ships and some 200-250 troops.

58 presumed dead in London tower fire
Survivors of the Grenfell Tower blaze are being given just £10 to live on by the council, a volunteer has said. So far at least 58 people are presumed dead.

On Friday, US President Donald Trump also turned up the heat on Qatar, warning it to stop "funding terrorism" while his state department urged Arab states to ease their blockade on the country.

"Qataris who study in Saudi, the UAE and Bahrain, we've had information that they were requested to leave immediately and they were not allowed to continue their final semester exams", he added. "We hope that the Qatari authorities will reconsider their politics and reconsider the reasons for the presence of radical entities on their territory that have relations to terrorist organizations in the Persian Gulf region".

Jubeir said he hopes that "Qatar responds to our call to end its support for extremist groups and its interference in the affairs of the countries in the region". Trump says he consulted with Saudi Arabia and others on a recent trip to Riyadh and chose to call out Qatar for its "very high level" of terror financing.

He added that "we have taken these steps in the interest of Qatar. and in the interest of security and stability in the region".

Qatar is home to both Al Jazeera and the region's largest U.S. military airbase - which is now the strategic nerve center of the United States air campaign against ISIS. Shortly after Tillerson's remarks, the Pentagon said that while the Qatar blockade was not affecting current operations against Islamic State, it was "hindering" the ability to plan for long-term operations.

The secretary of State said the emir of Qatar has made progress in curbing financial support for extremist groups, "but he must do more and he must do it more quickly".
