Protesters storm town hall after London fire

Nation falls silent to remember victims of Grenfell Tower fire

Opposition politicians also say the government ignored recommendations from a 2013 review after another London fire killed six people.

The fire has been a major test for Prime Minister Theresa May, whose Conservative Party is clinging to power after losing majority control of Parliament to a Labour surge in a snap election this month.

Late Sunday, the Metropolitan Police released three photos from inside Grenfell Tower, which showed in close detail how the fire charred the 24-story building that once housed up to 600 people in 120 apartments. Hands cautioned that officials don't yet have exact details about the renovation that ended just previous year.

London Police Commander Stuart Cundy said his team, along with firefighters, had been working night and day to assess the devastation and attempt to recover bodies.

Previously, the Metropolitan Police had confirmed 30 people had been killed in the inferno; the announcement Saturday almost doubles that number.

He said five of the dead had been formally identified, and it would be a slow and painstaking task to identify the others because of the intensity of the fire.

"If I identify.an issue that is a risk to public safety, we will be sharing that immediately with the relevant authorities", he said.

He said: "The investigation is a police investigation".

This is Mrs May's second meeting with those affected by Wednesday morning's fire, which was described as "unprecedented" by London's Fire Brigade Commissioner.

Cundy said the death toll may still change, but not as significantly as it has in recent days.

Clarifying about the rumors of the rift between him and director Sabbir Khan, Tiger said that he had started his career with him. Tiger is all set to make us feel nostalgia about the "King of Pop" Michael Jackson by showing off his kind of dance moves.

He says tower residents who survived fear a cover-up will keep the truth from coming out. Cundy said emergency workers have now reached the top of the building.

May, who has faced criticism of her response to the tragedy in which at least 30 people died, will meet victims, volunteers and community leaders, a Downing Street spokesman said.

He said the community in north Kensington, west London, was "frustrated and, yes, angry".

The identification of the victims is proving very hard - which experts attribute to the extreme heat of the fire.

Following his announcement, a minute's silence was held across Britain to remember the victims of the fire, which ripped through the 24-storey London tower last week.

Officials are using dental records, fingerprints and DNA samples to try and positively identify victims. "This is an absolutely terrible fire that took place", May said.

Hundreds have been left homeless by the blaze, putting more pressure on officials in a city already plagued by a chronic housing shortage.

On Friday, anger boiled over as people stormed Kensington & Chelsea Town Hall.

Fire safety experts believe that cladding put on the building's exterior during a renovation past year was less fire retardant, which may have fueled the blaze. There is ample food and water, but very little privacy or proper bedding.

Two nearby Underground lines were partially shut down Saturday in the fire area to make sure that debris did not land on the tracks.
