Tupac Biopic 'All Eyez on Me' Nabs $27M at Box Office

Cars 3 cruises toward $50m-plus weekend

Disney/Pixar's "Cars 3" will take the top box office spot from "Wonder Woman" this weekend with an estimated $53.5 million from 4,256 screens.

The action film starring Gal Gadot netted US$40.8 million, for a total of US$274.6 million in domestic ticket sales in three weeks, according to industry tracker Exhibitor Relations.

Lionsgate's "All Eyez On Me" opened in third place with an estimated 27.05 million USA dollars. On Friday, Wonder Woman soared past the $500 million mark globally. Wonder Woman is still going strong and All Eyez On Me, the untold story of Tupac Shakur, opened against the third film in the popular trilogy, but they both couldn't compete.

The first & second wicket partnership scored a worthy 118 runs when Fakhar Zaman was dismissed for 57 runs. Pakistan will now play the victor of Bangladesh and India second semi-final game in the final on Sunday.

Directed by Cars and Cars 2 storyboard artist Brian Fee, Cars 3 follows the legendary Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) as he's pushed out of the sport he loves by a new generation of blazing-fast racers. That's down a bit from the $25.7 million Cars 2 earned in 2011, but right in line with the 2006 original film. Overseas, Cars 3 bowed to $21.3 million from its first handful of territories for an early global tally of $74.8 million. The Mummy came in third place with $13.5 million for the weekend. But while the movie continues to fare poorly in North America, the first in Universal's Dark Universe series has already earned $239 million internationally, bringing the movie's worldwide total to $296 million. Only one in four critics had praise for the movie, in which Demetrius Shipp Jr. plays rapper Shakur.

47 Meters Down is a 2017 British survival horror film directed by Johannes Roberts, written by Roberts and Ernest Riera and starring Mandy Moore, Claire Holt, Chris J. Johnson, Yani Gellman, Santiago Segura and Matthew Modine.

The news was rough for Sony's raunchy female comedy, Rough Night. The film needs to do a lot of work to make up its budget overseas, but it is at least on the way, with the movie once again leading the worldwide box office, according to Variety. Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Zoe Kravitz, and Glazer make up a rowdy girl gang who reunite for a bachelorette weekend that goes horribly wrong.
