Most think Trump doesn't respect democratic traditions

The Father's Day tweets were clearly addressed at redress, an attempt to counter perceptions of his presidency by reaching out directly to the American people. In the June poll, 80 percent of Texas Republicans approved of the job Trump is doing as president; that number was statistically indistinguishable from the 81 percent of GOP voters who approved of Trump's performance in the February 2017 UT/TT Poll - which in turn was an increase from Trump's pre-election favorability rating (not exactly the same thing, but roughly comparable) of 60 percent. Overall, just 24 percent of Americans are pleased with the direction the country is heading, the lowest point since July of past year when the figure plunged after a series of police-involved shootings.

A new poll shows more than half of Americans believe a climate full of political anger is what led a gunman to open fire on Republican congressmen as they practiced for a charity baseball event this week.

Beneath the 43 approval to 51 percent disapproval rating - in which 25 percent of Texans polled said they strongly approve of Trump's tenure and 44 percent said they strongly disapprove - there is some important good news for Trump: Republicans remain overwhelmingly in his corner.

The report also indicates that 31 percent of responders strongly approve of the way Trump is performing and 42 percent who strongly disapprove. Sixty-six percent of white voters without college degrees cast their ballot for Trump, according to CNN's exit polls.

He tweeted, "The new Rasmussen Poll, one of the most accurate in the 2016 Election, just out with a Trump 50% Approval Rating".

Shooter went to GOP baseball practice with list of names
Those are the most important factors in the immediate aftermath of a major gunshot wound like the one suffered by Scalise. Bailey was spotted Friday in the Capitol, on crutches and out of uniform, accepting congratulations from fellow officers.

While 51 percent of Democrats hold a favorable opinion of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, 43 percent of Republicans share that view. "If anyone has had a rough launch, it's Donald Trump", said Jim Henson, co-director of the poll and head of the Texas Politics Project at the University of Texas at Austin. Among Republicans, 15 percent were positive, 45 percent were negative and 40 percent were neutral.

Eighty percent of Republicans don't believe there was coordination between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation, while 74 percent of Democratic voters think there was.

The other source of potential weakening support for Trump, which stretches back to the presidential campaign, are his personal qualities.

Of Trump, Denmon said: "He doesn't care about the process". The survey's margin of error is 4.1 percentage points.
