Goldie Hawn: 'Ageism in Hollywood doesn't make me angry'

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn

Let's just say that it involves a tapeworm (be careful what you eat and drink in a third-world country, especially when you venture outside the cushy resort) and that you may want to Google "tapeworm" after watching the scene, something you should just generally avoid. And she was just very sweet and dealt with me how you'd deal with any insane person who came up to you in an airport. Personally, that held some appeal to me as a child of the 80s who enjoyed her in Private Benjamin and Wildcats.

Despite being warned by fellow American tourist Ruth (a zany Wanda Sykes) not to have more drinks than she has breasts, Emily gets plastered and naively agrees to see James (Tom Bateman) again the next day, dragging Linda along for a special "back roads tour"- with surprise, surprise, no mobile phone coverage - that ends up getting them kidnapped. Does it make me angry? No.

Goldie Hawn attends the New York City premiere of Hollywood movie Snatched. By the way: Hawn's real daughter is the insta-glamorous Kate Hudson.

The mother-daughter relationship in Snatched was an easy source to tap for both Hawn and Schumer, who profess to having wonderful relationships with their own mothers.

Hawn is a bright spot as Schumer's uptight mom.

At fan meet, Rajinikanth hints at political plunge
However, the star added, "If in case I decide to join politics, then those making money will not be entertained". Lets meet when it's time for war, ' Rajinikanth said amidst thundering applause from fans.

"I think it's the way your mum looks at you", says Schumer. Which, I guess, is very appropriate for an age when nobody really knows what is being played for laughs. "My nervous system was already set up". When asked if she would prefer a good boy or a bad boy, Schumer chose the former, saying she would "go for a nice guy". Goldie Hawn does not fare much better as the overprotective Linda, who seems only to be on board to bicker with Schumer.

Hawn isn't gifted a single amusing line during 90 deflating minutes while Schumer continues to mine half-hearted laughs from her role as the childlike clown.

"That kind of power, where just with your hands, you can do anything, and I think that's just a gift that maybe five people ever had".

Mostly, it doesn't. If there's one impression that viewers of future generations might take away from this movie, it's that the baby boomers endured their offspring with a befuddled patience of Herculean proportions. "An editor from a women's magazine came up to me and said, 'Don't you feel awful that you're playing a dumb blonde?'" recalls the star, who was stunned by the query.

Snatched is now screening.
