In addition, 1.2 million photos and videos are backed up every day.

Google has launched three "new ways to share" in its Photos service, the company announced at its annual developer conference.

Google Lens: Google's new Lens feature will also make an appearance in Google Photos later this year. For example, Suggested Sharing would suggest that pictures of that trip to the beach might be shared with the other people who joined you on that trip.

The first one, Suggested Sharing, uses Google's artificial intelligence to detect faces in pictures and, well, suggest someone to share these photos with.

Google Photos got Suggested Sharing and Shared Libraries for instance.

Photo Books - Physical photos albums which are printed based on photos in your library.

Suggested Sharing is likely to be a time-saver, but Shared Libraries could be problematic for privacy.

"You can give them access to your full photo library or, if you prefer, only photos of certain people or from a certain date forward", Google explains.

Ohio high school students get pepper-sprayed for class
In order to graduate from a career tech program in OH , students need 12 points, so the spray was probably well worth it for some. A video has gone viral showing more than a dozen OH high school students being pepper sprayed in the face.

The app - which now boasts 500 million users just two years after its launch - offers photo storage and management for iOS, Android, and the web, and allows users to upload unlimited images (though the size of the individual photos is capped if you don't have a Pixel) for free. In short, not only will they be accessible via the image taker's Google Photos catalog, but also as part of the assigned person's Google Photos catalog. Google Photos will notify contacts when new photos from shared libraries contacts are backed up in their library. At present, this service is limited to the United States, but Google says it will launch this in more countries soon. When you select the photos, Google Photos will choose the best shots for you and remove duplicate or blurry ones.

All the new features will be coming to the web, Android and iOS versions of Google Photos over the new few weeks, except for album printing which is available on the USA web version immediately. Those with access will automatically get to see all the images you add to the album, and they'll be able to add their own with your permission.

This looks like a great tool that will allow everyone, not just those who are experts at editing images, to improve the pictures they have taken.

Google has announced a handful of updates for Google Photos.

This new feature will create collections of photos based on facial recognition processes.

Photo Books are available on the desktop version of Photos today, and coming to Android and iOS sometime in the next two weeks.

As we reported previously, Google Lens is coming to Google Photos.
