Ubisoft Announces Far Cry 5 & The Crew 2

Origins

It's the same situation for The Crew, with a logo announcement for the open world racing game sequel also shared on Twitter. This will also be joined by Far Cry 5, which the company officially revealed on Twitter.

In that same period, the company said it will release new entries in "three established franchises". A tweet prompts fans to subscribe to Ubisoft's U.S. version of the YouTube channel for more updates on the upcoming sequel. This particular game is rumoured to be called "Assassin's Creed: Origins" and will be set in Egypt, focussing on the beginnings of the Assassin brotherhood.

The first game was popular with fans, and had lots of potential, but disappointed many critics.

Whatever it's about and wherever it's set, Far Cry 5 is set to be released sometime before April 2018.

North Korea detains a forth U.S. citizen
Kim is the second American professor at the university to be detained by North Korean authorities within the past month. Last year, North Korea sentenced Otto Warmbier, a University of Virginia student, to 15 years of hard labor.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole was supposed to come out in December 2016 but was delayed to 2017. As of today, the official Far Cry 5 forums are up and running.

For more details on the 2017 games, expect to hear plenty more when E3 rolls around in June. The other two games being Red Dead Redemption 2 and upcoming PC MMO Wild West Online. As with Assassin's Creed, the Far Cry series is one of the pillars of Ubisoft's gaming arsenal and is nearly an annual title.

With E3 just under a month away, it's likely we're going to see a lot more announcements accompanied by little to no information.
