Playboy model loses bid to toss out privacy invasion case

Jordan Peele wants to make a Get Out sequel

After the incident in July 2016, Mathers said: 'That was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do.

On Monday, May 15, Judge Gustavo Sztraicher denied her lawyer's motion to dismiss the charge against her and a motion to continue to trial, according to The Wrap.

She added the caption, "If I can't unsee this then you can't either", while posing with her hand over her mouth as if shocked.

The trial is tentatively set to begin May 26. Mathers' lawyer Dana Cole argued that the elderly woman in Mathers' photo was not identifiable and that it took the police hours to figure out who she was.

In February, the Los Angeles City Attorney's office scoffed at Mathers' request to have her sentence deferred, stating that Mathers "does not qualify nor merit such leniency".

Mathers also deleted her social media profiles and was banned from LA Fitness where she took the photograph.

In an apology on her Snapchat account shortly after she shared the original photo, Mathers said the photo was "a huge mistake".

Prince Philip Decides 96 Is a Good Retirement Age
The news was announced by Buckingham Palace after a much-publicised meeting of Royal Household staff. Following the announcement, British Prime Minister Theresa May paid tribute to the prince.

The model apologised for the Snapchat shortly after posting in last summer, claiming the posting was an "accident". Mathers faces a maximum of six months in jail for the crime of invasion of privacy.

'I know that body-shaming is wrong.

Mathers, who has no criminal record, has offered to make amends by using her notoriety to bring attention to the issue of body shaming.

The person in the photo was identified only by her age and it was not clear if she knew she was being photographed.

Attorney Dana Cole said the victim can not be easily identified because the photo was shot from far away. That is not the type of person I am'.

"Body shaming is humiliating, with often painful, long-term consequences", Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer said when he announced the decision to prosecute the playmate.
