South Africa football coach stresses winning mentality

Baxter pledges to take Bafana Bafana to new heights

"With our search, we made sure we go for the right man for the job and we would like to thank the media for keeping us on our toes with this appointment - because at the end of it all this is our team, all of us".

SAFA CEO Dennis Mumble confirmed that following the finalisation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Baxter had penned a five year contract with the country's Football governing body.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Baxter, had previously coached the 1996 African champions from May 2004 to November 2005.

England-born Stuart Baxter was officially unveiled as South Africa coach Monday on a five-year contract and said winning was all that mattered.

"Then we could become a powerhouse of African and world football", Baxter explained.

Speaking on his team, the 63-year-old said there was no shortage of talent in South Africa.

"Just as back when I came for the first time, I believe the nation has good players for us to be competitive, and I have belief in my ability to coach any group of players - whether Swedish, Japanese or South African - and get the best out of them".

"Baxter is bringing his own people that he trusts and is comfortable to work with", says the source.

United Airlines says cockpit door access information made public
According to FAA regulations, the cockpit door should be able to "resist penetration by small arms fire and grenade shrapnel". King confirmed that the breach was not the result of a hack attack and did not cause any flights to be delayed or canceled.

"This is what I live for", he added.

Baxter was named coach earlier this month, but a ceremony to introduce him was delayed because South African football boss Danny Jordaan was unavailable.

"I'm very optimistic if we can pull together, but don't be too negative because it will affect everyone".

"Nigeria away is a big challenge for us and with very little preparation", Baxter said.

South Africa have become one of the great underachievers in Africa since making a spectacular return to global football two decades ago.

Baxter has called for unity among South Africans, as they need to fully support the national team as he looks to guide Bafana Bafana to the 2018 Soccer World Cup.

"I want Bafana Bafana to unite South Africa in the long term".
