Netflix Releases Trailer for Original Series GLOW

GLOW arrives on Netflix as an intriguing comedic/dramatic oddity showcasing the world of women's wrestling.

The amusing trailer features comedian and podcast host Marc Maron as the GLOW promoter and a whole lot of 1980s references, including a robot filled with drugs.

The show launches on the streaming giant June 23. OITNB's Jenji Kohan is among the executive producers.

The new trailer for GLOW shows a big-haired Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie) struggling to make ends meet as a fledgling actress in the 1980s.

We've seen pictures from the production, we've seen short teasers, and if we're getting really technical about it, we've seen the real life 1980s pro wrestling promotion it's based on in real life. That is, until her agents phones her up about a different kind of audition - for a lady's wrestling league that is being put together, led by the gruff but lovable Sam Sylvia (played comedian Marc Maron).
