British Columbia Liberal Leader Christy Clark says the United States lumber industry is "driven by greed", and she is the candidate who can lead the province to a softwood agreement with American producers.

She also attacked Horgan over the cost of his platform, repeating her party's new line of attack that the NDP is papering over a $6-billion hole and repeatedly bringing up the NDP government of the 1990s.

NDP Leader John Horgan says he wants the project sent to the B.C. Utilities Commission for a review on whether it should proceed.

Weaver says shifting B.C.'s health-care focus from acute care to wellness and preventative care, along with his party's other measures, will make health services more accessible and affordable.

Green Leader Andrew Weaver - the first member of his party to win a seat in the provincial legislature - previously said the party planned to run in each of the province's ridings in the May 9 election. Clark also accused the NDP of planning to roll medical services plan premiums into the tax system and to nearly double the carbon tax, which Horgan denied.

Horgan said the platform is based on the financial figures in the government's spring budget, telling Clark that Finance Minister Michael de Jong's analysis of the budget released Wednesday was an embarrassment.

On the issue of tolling bridges, Clark repeated her party's promise to cap tolls at $500 a year per person.

"Mr. Horgan, we didn't make up five balanced budgets", Clark replied.

"My parents would never have done that to me, and I think most of us would never want to do that to our kids", Clark said. He said Clark was taking liberty with the facts, so he challenged her on the issues. Clark referred to NDP finance critic Carole James' comment the previous day that the revenue of more than $1 billion a year would be shifted to the "progressive" tax system.

He says every project ever built before Site C underwent a review by the independent regulatory body, but this time Clark pushed ahead with the project and the public has a right to know whether there is a solid business case for it.

Six in 10 people who struggle with addiction also experience other mental health challenges.

Weaver said Ottawa's plan to legalize is leaning toward large corporate providers, and he favours "craft cannabis" similar to local beer, as long as there is effective control to prevent minors from buying it.

Horgan announced an expanded apprenticeship and trades training program under a New Democrat government.
