Patriots hit back at New York Times over White House tweet

"An earlier version of this article included photos comparing the size of the Patriots' gathering at the White House in 2015 and the gathering on Wednesday".

The New England Patriots did not have as many players attend Wednesday's White House ceremony as they did two years ago when they won the Super Bowl, but the team feels reports about how few members of the organization attended this year are being grossly exaggerated.

Mr Trump jumped on the apparent error, tweeting, "Failing @nytimes, which has been calling me wrong for two years, just got caught in a big lie concerning New England Patriots visit to WH".

The official Patriots account quickly shot back, saying that the photos "lack context". The picture with Trump showed both staircases empty while the 2015 photo with Obama appeared seemingly packed with players. "In 2015, over 40 football staff were on the stairs".

While it isn't clear why Brady was not present, he also did not attend the White House visit in 2015.

Trump eyes changes to Obama's tax and Wall Street rules
Grant, director of equity trading at KBW, who said solid earnings reports also supported stocks during the session Thursday. He would not provide details of the plan, saying only that the tax cuts will be "bigger I believe than any tax cut ever".

A number of Patriots skipped the ceremony, including superstar quarterback Tom Brady, who said he was spending time with his cancer-stricken mom, and wide receiver Danny Amendola, who was at a friend's funeral. "In 2017, they were seated on the South Lawn".

The Times acknowledged the error and removed the photo from their website. It was the team's fifth Super Bowl victory since 1960.

This photo from the New York Times raced around social media yesterday. Why?

UPDATE: Patriots say # of players was smaller this year than 2015 (34 vs. 50) but total delegation was roughly the same. He said almost 50 players attended the event in 2015 when Obama hosted.
