White nationalist Spencer speaks at Auburn

Auburn University student shuts down white supremacist Richard Spencer news Richard Spencer Auburn

A federal judge has ruled that Auburn University must let white nationalist Richard Spencer speak on campus Tuesday.

Hundreds of Auburn students showed up some with signs to protest outside the Foy Hall.

Police were on campus hours before Spencer was set to speak at the university barricading off areas for protesters, both supportive of Spencer's message and against it, and areas for media and onlookers. "A bunch of snowflakes mostly women and betas were outside".

On Friday, though, Auburn canceled the event, posting this brief statement: "In consultation with law enforcement, Auburn canceled the Richard Spencer event scheduled for Tuesday evening based on legitimate concerns and credible evidence that it will jeopardize the safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors".

Then, a federal judge on granted Spencer's request for an injunction, effectively ordering Auburn to host his speaking event as originally scheduled.

"The alt-right is about being a white person, being a European in the 21st century", Spencer told the crowd, AL.com reported, later adding, "There'd be no history without us".

Fuel outlets to remain shut on Sundays from May 14
He added that petrol pumps in the seven states and Puducherry will work from May 15 only on single shift - 9 a.m.to 6 p.m. Murali said there were around 4,850 outlets selling petrol and diesel in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry alone.

Spencer, the president of the National Policy Institute (NPI), a think tank associated with the so-called Alt-Right movement, generated controversy after he said "Hail Trump, hail our people, hail victory" at an NPI meeting last November. Video footage of the punches went viral online, and raised the question of whether it's "OK to punch a Nazi".

Cameron Padgett, who rented the auditorium for the event, sued the university on First Amendment grounds.

Police are reporting arrests linked to an appearance at Auburn University by white nationalist Richard Spencer.

U.S. District Judge W. Keith Watkins found in favor of the plaintiff and enjoined Auburn from preventing the speech on the basis of content.

Colleges across the country from the University California, Berkeley, to Texas A&M have been trying to balance free speech and security when controversial speakers appear on campus.

Students staged an #AuburnUnites music festival to promote a peaceful response to Spencer's visit, according to the student paper, the Plainsman.
