Tesla recalls 53000 Model S, Model X vehicles for parking brake

Tesla recalls 53000 Model S, Model X vehicles for parking brake

The EV-maker also says the issue has no impact on the car's regular braking system and that only a "very small" percentage of gears in cars built in the period were not manufactured correctly.

If the small gear were to break, the vehicle's parking brake would be stuck and the auto would be prevented from moving, Tesla said.

According to the electric auto maker about 2 per cent of the 53,000 vehicles built from February to October 2016 had the defect, and all those cars were being recalled.

We will soon be sending you an official recall notice by mail, which will include information on how to have your parking brakes replaced. Eighteen percent of the Model X's complaints involve vehicle speed control.

Tesla is recalling 53,000 of its Model X and Model S vehicles built between February and October 2016. TO date, no injuries have been reported as a result of the fault, which is thought to affect about 5% of the recalled vehicles. "Because of the design of the gear, it is hard to tell exactly which vehicles are affected".

Cahill urges Chelsea to dig in after United defeat
Chelsea , which held a 13-point lead after beating Stoke 2-1 on March 18, has lost two of its last four games. But when they tried to play counterattack we were always in control.

Even though it's only a year old, the Tesla Model X actually has the highest complaint rate of all the models we studied that are now in production, at 27.9 complaints per 1,000 cars. It is worth noting that this isn't the first time Tesla has had to issue a recall.

The company issued a voluntary recall for 3,000 of its Model S cars in November 2015, due to seatbelt connectivity problems.

Tesla Global Sales & Service President Jonathan McNeill said during a visit to Tesla Korea this week, that the USA -based electric vehicle maker will be installing fourteen Supercharger stations in Korea this year. More details will be added as they become available.

In a 22 February letter to shareholders, Tesla said it was expanding its mobile fix operation as part of an effort to prepare for higher service demand from the Model 3.
