Eric Bolling, now a host of "The Five", will get his own show airing during the 5 p.m. hour.

According to Kurtz, beginning this Monday, Tucker Carlson's show will move from 9 p.m.

After news of the settlements broke, The O'Reilly Factor lost more than half of its advertisers within a week, according to The Times.

The downfall of Fox's most popular - and most lucrative - personality began with an April 1 report in The New York Times that five women had been paid a total of $13 million to keep quiet about disturbing encounters with O'Reilly, who continued to deny any wrongdoing in a statement hours after he was sacked.

NEW YORK (AP) - With its biggest star departing in another blowup over sexual harassment, Fox News faces some big challenges.

"After a thorough and careful review of allegations against him, the Company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Mr. O'Reilly will not return to the Fox News Channel", the statement said.

There was no immediate response from Bill O'Reilly's bosses Wednesday to escalating reports that the Fox News Channel personality will lose his job following accusations he had harassed women.

Kelly exited Fox News for a position with NBC News. Despite claiming he'd return to his show on April 24, tongues at Fox wagged that the journalist wouldn't actually be back as dozens of advertisers had pulled their commercials from The O'Reilly Factor.

Warren Gatland reveals hardest decisions in Lions squad
The Wales flanker will be the second player to captain the Lions twice, after England great Martin Johnson (1997, 2001). Scotland have just two representatives in Stuart Hogg , a likely starter at full-back, and fellow back Tommy Seymour .

Author Stephen King tweeted: "New book by Fox News: Killing Bill O'Reilly".

When the Murdochs went the other way, O'Reilly prepared a statement with the help of his agents and crisis communications adviser. The O'Reilly Factor will continue for the remainder of the week. But the New York Times reported that two of the O'Reilly settlements were reached after Ailes left.

O'Reilly, 67, had ruled the "no spin zone" on television with a quick smile and an even quicker temper.

O'Reilly and President Donald Trump are both "crowd-pleasing showmen who know how to signal to loyalists in their audience that they are not taking themselves quite as seriously as their detractors are", said news consultant Andrew Tyndall.

O'Reilly's attorney claimed on Tuesday that his client - a long-time conservative media icon - had been the target of a "smear campaign" financed by leftwing activist organisations. Ousting O'Reilly, he said, "does not speak to a changed culture".

O'Reilly is also one of the country's most popular nonfiction authors.

Vatican spokesman Greg Burke confirmed O'Reilly was in the VIP section for the pope's Wednesday appearance.

The New York Times reported April 2 that five women had been paid a total of $13 million to keep quiet about unpleasant encounters with O'Reilly, who has denied any wrongdoing.
