Instagram will soon work offline on your Android phone

Android users rejoice. Not just YouTube you can now ‘go offline’ on Instagram too

For now, Instagram's Stories feature needs an active internet connection, but with the company looking to add more functionality to offline mode in the coming months, we'll be hearing more soon. The mode is primarily aimed at developing countries that often face low or limited data connectivity options. Such a development will definitely help the Instagram users in the developing countries where a stable internet connection is not always possible.

Instagram engineer Hendri says offline users will be able to see content previously loaded in Instagram's feed. This new feature also allows you to create post and save your drafts while offline which can them be posted once you get back online. Facebook is reportedly exploring the possibility of offline mode for Instagram on the iPhone, but they haven't confirmed whether the feature will ever roll out. 80 percent of the community is outside of the U.S., and as our platform grows, Instagram must perform across an increasing variety of devices and networks to keep people connected. When a data connection is re-established, the actions made will be uploaded to Instagram's servers.

Rays starter Jake Odorizzi leaves with tight left hamstring
Boston scored one with a two-out rally in the fifth - Dustin Pedroia's double and Benintendi's RBI single to right. Craig Kimbrel worked a ideal ninth for his fourth save, adding Boston's 14th and 15th strikeout of the game.

Facebook's recently updated Lite version also works in a similar way, and which shows the message "you can still post while offline" when using the social network. This offline capability lets users consume and stay engaged with content irrespective of the connectivity. While Snapchat seems to have forgotten about the developing world, Instagram knows everyone everywhere wants visual communication.
