Ex-girlfriend of Facebook murder suspect meets with victim's family

Nicknamed the Facebook Killer for his role in ending the life of a Cleveland man and posting the shooting to Facebook, Stephens life ended when he was stopped by police on Buffalo Road near Downing Avenue.

Stephens uploaded video of the killing to Facebook, resulting in a two-day search. Police caught up with Stephens shortly after the exchange, and, following a brief chase, Stephens shot and killed himself, according to officials.

State police continue to work with federal and OH authorities, trying to build a timeline of the last few days in the life of Steve Stephens. "We want to wrap our arms around him", Tonya Godwin-Baines told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Tuesday after Stephens' death.

"She's the reason why this is about to happen to you", Stephens said on a video posted on Facebook.

Godwin-Baines expressed empathy not just for Lane, but for Stephens' mother, too, when she spoke with Cooper.

"I've got a lot of negative comments", Lane added.

Mitch Haniger's 3 hits, 4 RBIs lifts Seattle past Miami 10-5
For the second time in three days, the Miami Marlins' bullpen let a no-hitter fall a few outs short of completion. Along with his fourth home run of the season, Yelich's catch in the first inning will be tough to top all season.

After the Godwin shooting, Green said she called her son, whom she described as calm.

She said her father would be proud of their choice to forgive.

"I feel bad. The last thing that he would have said was my name and (he) didn't know me or why he was saying it. And that's been hard", Lane said.

Lane said she and Stephens dated for a while, and had discussed getting engaged, but they broke up and she urged him to seek help for gambling issues.

The Godwin sisters told Lane that none of this was her fault and that they don't hold any animosity for her.
