Oklahoma deputy dies after shooting, suspect arrested

Oklahoma police are on the hunt for a man who took a shot at a law enforcement officer

The Logan County deputy was identified as David Wade.

Officials say an Oklahoma deputy who was shot multiple times while serving an eviction notice has died from his injuries.

Authorities are looking for the man who shot and killed a deputy in Oklahoma Tuesday.

Wade died just before noon Tuesday after earlier being shot in the face and body while delivering an eviction notice at a home in Mulhall.

Officials told our affiliates KFOR that deputy was shot multiple times near I-35 and Mulhall Road in Logan County, Oklahoma.

Investigators say the search for the alleged shooter is ongoing.

They say he then stole the deputy's vehicle and drove to a convenience store where he stole another vehicle.

The vehicle was spotted later Tuesday morning, but the suspect has yet to be taken into custody.

The sheriff said authorities are searching for 45-year-old Nathan Aaron LeForce as the suspect. Witnesses say he was wearing loose fitting black jeans and has a very thin build.

Langston, Mulhall and Coyle Schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution.

Anyone with information about LeForce's whereabouts should call 911.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol tells NewsChannel 4 that troopers are en route to assist in the incident.
