The last work of the legendary Carrie Fisher has fans in tears

It's heartbreaking to think that the Star Wars universe has seen the last of Leia Organa, who was courageous, uncompromising, and inspiring to all who knew her.

Carrie Fisher will not be in Star Wars: Episode IX, according to the film's production company.

The Force Awakens ended with Rey and Skywalker meeting on a remote island.

But really, what is going to happen with Leia then in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi? She's too much, ' Hamill said.

The film also stars Carrie Fisher who died on December 27.

We've just gotten our first look at "The Last Jedi". It's a quick five minutes but it highlights Fisher's role as Leia and the impact she had on her costars. I think it was reassuring to her that I was there, the same person, that she could trust me, as critical as we could sometimes be with each other.

It's "part of the process that I need to move on", Hamill said. (Todd Fisher) was probably confused because we finished everything in Eight, and Carrie is absolutely phenomenal in the movie.

Aide: Secret Service firings to follow fence-jumping
In a statement , the Secret Service said the investigation is ongoing, but the agency declined to provide additional information. The 26-year-old intruder, Jonathan Tran, defeated a series of deterrents before Secret Service agents caught him last month.

"Obviously, with Carrie having passed away, it shook everybody", Kennedy says.

"When I think of her, she's looking down from the celestial stratosphere with that sly smile on her face, as she lovingly extends me the middle finger", Hamill said. A teaser is supposed to show you dynamic images that heighten your awareness and make you want to see the trailer, but avoid all story points if at all possible...

The Last Jedi is likely to feature the death of General Leia Organa, as Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has revealed that Carrie Fisher will not be appearing in Episode IX.

What role will Finn play in The Last Jedi?

The energy in the room was electric as we neared the panel's end and the group revealed the teaser poster for "The Last Jedi" (which we all received walking out of the hall afterward) immediately followed by the movie's very first trailer.

The surprise announcement on Friday comes after Carrie's brother Todd Fisher previously said the late actress would feature in the ninth instalment of the sci-fi franchise.
